Together People offers personal coaching contracts to clients. These are individually negotiable, but generally work best if there are a minimum of 6 sessions spread over 6-12 months depending on client need. We work with you to set out your desired outcomes and to work towards them in a robust way.

The first element is a longer meeting devoted to identifying current areas of strength, aspirations for the future, and the network of relationships in which the client does his or her managerial work. Coach and client then agree a number of specific desired outcomes of their collaborative sessions, what work needs to be done and how they will work together.

Our approach to coaching and mentoring is informed by Edgar Schein's work on Career Anchors with a focus on personal values & lifestyle fit taking in wider development aspirations.

We work with clients to establish timescales but usually a where a 1.5 hour meeting takes place every 3 to 4 weeks. After the initial 3 months, it may be appropriate to reduce the frequency of meetings to one in every 5 to 6 weeks.

At each meeting, coach and client review what has been happening, look at the agreed outcomes and determine the successes and the areas where there is still work to be done. It is of course also important in this to recognise that there may be emerging changes for the manager, their job, the company or their family circumstances, which will need to be responded to.

Throughout, your Together People partner acts as mentor, coach, independant support and provides challenge to help individuals address the very real issues they are facing.

Clients are provided with insight into their Career Anchors, a personal SWOT on their skills and talents and a review of their personal values and priorities. These enable a practical development action plan to be developed and this data is used as a framework for assessing and persuing career options and opportunities.
The aim is to increase delegates' awareness of what is needed to succeed and to equip them with a process and the tools to determine their own future.
The process is designed to provide delegates with a “safe space” from the hurly burly of organizational and life demands, so that they can do some serious thinking putting all options on the table without fear or judgment.
